Keeping your St. Augustine beautiful is not particularly a challenge

St. Augustine grass is a very hardy turf grass. It is the most shade tolerant warm season grass and, if managed properly, it forms a dense mat that competes well with most weeds.  To keep your St. Augustine in good condition, fertilize your lawn about every ten weeks, beginning three weeks after the grass turns green until late November/early December.  Apply slow-release 3-1-2 or 3-0-2 ratio fertilizers, such as Premium Lawn Food (19-5-9) available at Rainbow Gardens, or any 15-5-10 Texas brand.
